To ensure that your equipment in functioning properly, it is essential that it is regularly tested and calibrated. Various internationally recognised inspection bodies also require that critical measurements equipment be tested and calibrated at regular intervals.

We can supply many of these products direct from stock and, if necessary, provide them with a test certificate from our own calibration department. We can also offer an on site calibration service to minimise disruption and our customers’ down time.

Equipment
Depending on the degree of accuracy required and the precise nature of the test or calibration, our technical advisors will make the appropriate choice from our extensive range of test and calibration equipment. To test a pressure switch for example, a hand pump with an analogue gauge is the most effective solution, whilst the calibration of a temperature sensor on which the quality of your product depends may require a highly-accurate temperature calibrator supported by PC-based processing of the measurement data. Certification
You can ask GMS Instruments to help you with the certification of your equipment too. We have our own laboratory where equipment can be traceably tested, calibrated and certificated. We also offer an instrument rental service to cope with all your calibration requirements, from replacing instruments that are being calibrated to assisting with high workload volumes and non standard applications. Needless to say, our hire equipment comes complete with calibration certificates complying with national and international standards.

Calibration, Gasdetection & Service

Calibration and service
To ensure that your equipment functions correctly, it must be tested and calibrated regularly. Also various controlling authorities require that an essential instrument is calibrated regularly. GMS Instruments can provide this service for you. We have a dedicated service and calibration department, manned by professionals with expertise and years of experience in the field of service and calibration.

Tailor made Service
We offer a wide range of solutions in the field of service and calibration, concerning testing and calibration equipment for shipping and general industry. Depending on the application, the use, the specifications, your quality system and the internal or external legislation, you can choose to what extent your instruments are maintained and to which accuracy standard it will be calibrated to. Do you want to have a traceable accredited calibration certificate, or just want to know that the instrument is still within specifications? It is all up to you.

Repairs
If the calibration shows that the instrument doesn’t meet the required specification, needs to be repaired or some components need to be replaced, no problem. We will propose this and carry out the repair for you. During repair and calibration we can even offer a temporary instrument to minimise your down time.

Gasdetection equipment

The presence of a dangerous gas or too low a concentration of oxygen can pose a threat to life. This is why gasdetection equipment has an important role to play in the surveillance, protection and monitoring of industrial processes and environments. GMS Instruments offers a complete range of gasdetection equipment, from single personal gas measuring instruments for EX, OX, CO and H2S to sophisticated multi-gas instruments as well as test gas, gas test-tubes and alcohol-breath analysers.

Repairs
Not only do we offer an extraordinarily wide range of products, we’re also approved repairers for a large number of worldwide manufacturers. This means we can often supply you with both the hardware and the software and that our staff has been trained by the original manufacturers themselves.

Calibration
We can also calibrate your gasdetection equipment and supply a wide assortment of gases and gas mixtures that you can use to regularly test and calibrate your equipment yourself. These gases and mixtures are packed in handy, lightweight, disposable 20-litre cylinders (34,- 58- and 110-litre cylinders also available on request), which make them ideal for applications and situations in which portability is essential. From a cost point of view, they offer an attractive alternative to bulky and expensive refillable cylinders. We are official Dutch distributor from Euro-Gas and are part of her global distributor network. So we are able to arrange deliveries of gases directly to any ports/airports all over the world.
